The Days of Our Lives recap for April 6-10, 2020, features a whole bunch of characters seeking absolution for committed misdeeds. Will love be enough to achieve it?
Eric Segal once wrote, “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.” Which is good news for a plethora of guilt-ridden Salemites. First, there’s dedicated physician Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans), whose haste to remove that damnable chip from her ex-husband’s brain resulted in her rendering him an amnesiac!
Then there’s Nicole (Arianne Zucker) who finally told Eric (Greg Vaughan) that not only is his little girl not his little girl…but she also belongs to his brother Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk).
And since Xander (Paul Telfer) only switched the babies because of his love for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) he’s sure that even if the truth were to come out she would simply forgive and forget.
In truth, the only person in town left wanting both love and forgiveness is Evan (Brock Kelly). But Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) is still pretty miffed about being set up for a murder he didn’t commit and Rafe (Galen Gering) is still mad about the whole kidnapping debacle and Sonny (Freddie Smith) is still fuming about the whole being held a gunpoint thing.
So it doesn’t appear that Evan is going to receive either anytime soon. Perhaps he shouldn’t have ratted out dear old papa Orpheus (George DelHoyo)
SteVano: “Tony…I’m sorry that I stranded you on that island all those years.” To be clear, Tony’s imprisonment lasted for a full 22 years – between 1985 and 2007.
Kayla to Steve: “We faced so many challenges, I couldn’t ever recount them without confusing you more.” Yea, supercouplings are complicated. And the love affair between Patch and Sweetness especially so – heck, this isn’t even the first time that he’s been stricken with amnesia.
Kayla: “Seeing you in this bed, it just reminds me of when I was in the hospital myself.” Steve: “Why were you in the hospital?” Kayla: “I had suffered some trauma, and I lost my hearing and my voice.”
That trauma was the result of Kayla surviving a fire that broke out while she was trying to defend herself against an attack launched by the Riverfront Knifer AKA Harper Deveraux, Jack’s adoptive father.
Marlena to Kristen: “I know there’s been a lot of tension between us. I think it’s time we put that to an end. I think it’s time we all move forward.” It’s a pretty sentiment Marlena (Deidre Hall), truly, But can you really “move forward” with a woman who did you so much harm?
Chad: “I’m grateful to you. You brought me back.” Abigail: “I brought you back.” Chad: “Ended my father’s return.” Abigail: “Yes I did.” Wow, isn’t that just like Abigail to take credit for everyone else’s heroic actions?
Anna (Leann Hunley) did more to end “Stefano’s” return with the end of her high heeled shoe than Abigail could have ever conceived of. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
