The Days of our Lives recap for Tuesday, October 5, 2021, features Chad DiMera and Paulina Price saying yes to a proposal…and while the latter gets a big shiny ring in reward, the former getting nothing more than a kiss (off) on the cheek.

When one has the opportunity to both fund your favorite nephew’s dream and make a star out of your wife, one must take it. Chad (Billy Flynn) knows this to be true, so of course, he agreed to finance Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) film, which will feature Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) in the starring role. The fact that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) insisted the money would only be exchanged over his dead body, came as a happy bonus.
Less happy, however, was Abby’s disinterest in joining her hubby for a romantic night in. Turns out she’s still a little peeved that he impregnated her half-sister. Funny that.

Opposite this, Abe Carver (James Reynolds), magnanimous mayor, cook extraordinaire, got down on bended knee and asked Paulina (Jackée Harry) to marry him. Paulina, suitably impressed with his skills in the kitchen – and the bedroom – and his choice in jewelry, agreed. Then it was time to eat pie…a pie that everyone had better enjoy immensely because its preparation got in the way of Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) *ahem* connecting on an intimate level.
DOOL Recap: Tough Love
Having already ruined Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) night – and, by extension, Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) – EJ planned to do the same for the inhabitants of House DiMera, but Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker), a DiMera by marriage twice over, cautioned him against it. You get more flies with honey than with vinegar and all that jazz. Then it was time to eat some omelets…because EJ is the king of omelets; let him have this.
