Stefano is back on Days of our Lives. Sure, he looks like Steve (Stephen Nichols). But for some people, that’s a feature, not a bug.

So if Stefano is back, what about Stefan (Brandon Barash), the son he never met, who died in a very DiMera way — via crossfire — thanks to his crazy mother. Stefano’s children do have a tendency to come with crazy mothers. Would you like to see Stefan return — and he and Gabi (Camila Banus) reunite? What over 8,000 voters went for:

A majority 65% of you are definitely rooting for yet another rise from the dead and a hot, steamy reunion for one of Salem’s surprise couples. When Stefan and Gabi first got together — and admitted this was real, not just an emotionless con — fans sat up and took notice.

This was the bad boy/bad girl pairing you needed… even when you didn’t know you wanted it. They were just getting started when Lani (Sal Stowers) cut Stefan down and got Gabi to donate his heart to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Okay, so there was a catch.

What’s that you say? How can Stefan come back when his heart is somewhere else? (Literally, not figuratively.) Some of you might say, “Heart? What heart? Did Stefan ever have a heart?” While others are going with, “Who cares? This is Salem? Make it work.”

Stefan went through two incarnations. The one who was obsessed with Abigail (Kate Mansi) to the point of enabling her to believe she was a whole other person, and the one who got over her once he hit the sheets with Gabi.
