Days Of Our Lives does enjoy pitting women at each other’s throats. Gabi (Camila Banus) has been busy lately. She hates – and is hated by – Abigail (Kate Mansi). But Abby went crazy on her own this time (maybe) and left town.
So that leaves Lani (Sal Stowers). She and Gabi are also currently enemies. But should that stay the course, or evolve? Over 3,000 viewers answered our question:
They don’t have to be besties, 54% of you parse, but they should manage to be civil to each other. Salem is a small town, and the rest of the Hortons and Bradys don’t enjoy hearing the two constantly snarking at each other. But they both have good reasons.
Lani was responsible for the death of Gabi’s husband. Gabi kept Lani from marrying Eli (Lamon Archey) by threatening to blow up his grandma Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) heart from her very smart phone. We get it. But we also wish you would get over it.
A smaller 35% of the audience says bring on the hate! You love these ladies’ rivalry and can’t wait to find out what they’ll do to each other next. Will Lani send Gabi to prison – again? Will Gabi blackmail Eli into dumping Lani at the altar this time? These are the kind of stories you come to Salem for!
And then there’s the last place 7% that wants Gabi and Lani to become fast friends. They do have a lot in common. Like a taste in men. And they’ve both shown they’re not ones to be pushed around when the going gets tough.
Frankly, each is just the kind of wing-woman the other could use. Can you imagine what they could do to Salem if they actually joined forces? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
