The Days of Our Lives recap for Thursday, June 4, 2020, features a morning of drama in Salem. Hope stepped up for Rafe, Zoey stood up to her dad, Lani announced her good news, Kayla cemented her plans, and Steve was drinking himself silly.

Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli (Lamon Archey) took Abe (James Reynolds) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) to the square for the lunch to show off the ring and drop the baby bomb. Everyone was thrilled. Julie was so happy she didn’t mind them asking Marlena to officiate instead of her.
You Won’t Take Me Down
It was the morning of the custody case and both Rafe (Galen Gering) and Zoey were feeling the heat. Hope (Kristian Alfonso) stopped by to check on her ex and to offer him any help he needs, including taking the stand on his behalf. How can a judge rule for Zoey (Alyshia Ochse) after all she did?
As for Zoey, she went to visit her brother but Orpheus (George DelHoyo) walked into the room instead. He laid down the law with his daughter – get David, or else! That didn’t sit well with Zoey. She wasn’t going to let him intimated her any longer. She walked out of the room.

Who did intimidate Zoey was Hope. They ran into each other outside of the courtroom and Hope wished her luck explaining her crimes. Just drop the suit, Zoey, they said. Of course, Zoey refused.
Good News, Bad News
Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) got a shock when she met Kayla at the pub and saw the ring. She got a bigger shock when she found out it was Justin who proposed. Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) put her foot down right then and there. She was marrying Justin and that was that. Jennifer agreed to suck it up and at least act happy.
Meanwhile, Jack (Matthew Ashford) ran into Steve (Stephen Nichols) at the pub. Steve was two sheets to the wind (working on three) and said he was giving up. He wanted Kayla happy and Justin made her happy. Jack pushed him to fight back, but not yet. Wait until you’re sober, he said. Steve agreed.
That may change, though. Kayla walked through the doors and she and Steve stared each other down. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
