Days of Our Lives Poll: Does Brady Deserve To Be Top At Titan?

Published by

Does anyone on Days Of Our Lives make business decisions based on, you know, business? Experience. Qualifications. Education.

Tony (Thaao Penghlis) is taking over running DiMera because he is Old World and insists on being the breadwinner before he and Anna (Leann Hunley) re-tie the knot. And Victor (John Aniston) is threatening to remove Brady (Eric Martsolf) from running Titan because he doesn’t appreciate Brady moving in with a pregnant Kristen (Stacey Haiduk).

We suspect Victor is thinking of giving Ciara (Victoria Konefal) the job. Because who needs more than a high school education — or any experience doing… anything — before taking over the running of a multi-national conglomerate that does… whatever you need it to do at a given moment. Fashion? Gabi Chic? Magazines? Face of Bella? Should Brady get to keep his position? What over 7,000 viewers voted:

Days of Our Lives Poll Results: Experience Matters

Brady knows what he’s doing, 79% of the audience insists. He’s been doing a good job writing Titan… we think. At least, he hasn’t been doing anything too horrible. He’s qualified. And he… uh… looks good in a suit.

In fact, wouldn’t firing Brady know be paternity discrimination? A company can be sued for firing a pregnant woman, so why not extend the precedent by saying you can’t fire a man for getting pregnant a woman Grandad can’t stomach — namely Kristen (Stacy Haiduk). Sure, it’s an awfully specific bit of legislation, but could come in handy for a lot of folks in the soap world.

My Company, My Call
It’s Victor’s company. He can hire — and fire — whomever he wants, counter 21% of Days of Our Lives fans. If Victor doubts Brady’s judgment in his personal life, he has every right to doubt Brady’s judgment in his personal life — and dismiss him accordingly.

Victor doesn’t owe Brady a job just because Brady’s mother was Victor’s daughter. What would soap – and real-life – businesses be with this level of nepotism? Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
