Desperate to hold onto Jake, Days of our Lives’ Kate has woken up from a coma with a plan to keep her man: pretending she’s blind. She’s fairly certain the noble Jake (Brandon Barash) won’t forsake her for Gabi (Camila Banus), if she’s in dire need of his love and care.

Days of our Lives’ Kate Gets Revenge

It’s not the first time Kate (Lauren Koslow) has done something wild and wacky in a relationship, nor will it likely be the last. In fact, she puts the crazy into “what I did for love.” Here’s a look back at some of her other schemes.

A Killer Plot

Kate was determined to win back Victor (John Aniston) after her affair with Nicholas (Victor Webster) ended, but blew her chances when he caught her in the throes of passion with Vincent Moroni. So she shifted plans to kill Victor at Greta’s coronation. The plan went awry when Vincent’s daughter, Angela, ended up dead instead.

Victor escaped, yet faked his demise. He later revealed himself to Kate, who tried to murder him again by clobbering him with a poker and setting the Kiriakis mansion on fire. Once again, Victor survived, but Lucas was nearly killed in the blaze.

Sweet Revenge

After being diagnosed with lung cancer, Kate had an affair with her surgeon, Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian). She was willing to step aside and keep it secret, when he became romantically involved with her granddaughter, Chelsea (Rachel Melvin). When the relationship ended and Chelsea left town, Kate resumed things with Daniel.

However, it was short-lived. Daniel soon began an affair with Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), her son Lucas’s (Bryan Dattilo) wife. When Kate found out, she was bent on revenge. She poisoned brownies and served them to Chloe, who ended up in a coma.

Then she planted the bottle of poison in Daniel’s apartment for cops to find, framing him for the attempt on Chloe’s life. Despite Daniel’s insistence that he loved Chloe and would never hurt her, he was arrested for the crime.

Brotherly Love?

Kate started a relationship with her ex-husband Victor’s evil brother, Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), but soon realized he had feelings for Nicole (Arianne Zucker). During a physical confrontation, Kate pushed Deimos into a tree, where he hit his head and fell into the river.

When he was presumed dead, Kate attempted to frame Nicole for his murder. Then she took things a step further, hiring an attorney to forge a marriage certificate between her and Deimos, so she could inherit his fortune. The plot hit a snag when Deimos resurfaced very much alive and kicked Kate out of the Kiriakis mansion.

Conning A Con

When Kate took over Vivian’s plan to use Leo (Greg Rikaart) to sue Sonny (Freddie Smith) for sexual harassment, she met Leo’s suave, but slimy lawyer, Ted Laurent (Giles Marini). It didn’t take long for the twosome to hit the sheets. However, when Leo disappeared and Kate discovered Ted had been blackmailing Will and Sonny over his alleged death, she turned on him.

She broke up with Ted and chastised him for going after her family. Then she held a gun on him, instructing him to leave town or else. Realizing Kate meant business, Ted split. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
