The week of August 10, 2020
Add Camila Banus to the list of exiting Days of Our Lives stars. After months of rumors about her status with the show, the actress, who began playing Gabi Hernandez in 2010, is now leaving the soap in the near future. Will Gabi leave town or be killed off? (She certainly has her fair share of enemies. And even if she is killed off, we all know dead is never really dead in Salem.
Meanwhile, Olivia Rose Keegan, who returned to the soap in June after nearly a year away, makes her final appearance as legacy character Claire Brady on Monday, August 10. Keegan, who debuted in the role of the SORAS’d Claire in 2015 and won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Performer earlier this year, is set to recur in season 2 of Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
The character of Claire, however, won’t be leaving Salem. Word is Australian actress Isabel Durant is taking over the part and will begin airing this week. Claire seems to have made a change for the better, so perhaps the character will be going in a completely new direction.
