Days of our Lives C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from Days of our Lives (DOOL)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the NBC soap.

The week of November 30, 2020

It looks like Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) life is about to get more interesting. Nadia Bjorlin resurfaces as Chloe Lane on Thursday, December 3. The actress, who last aired in August of 2020, originated the role of Chloe back in 1999.

Bjorlin’s not the only return on the Salem horizon. A slew of others will be popping up in the near future. The show’s recently released winter promo revealed that Thaao Penghlis, Leann Hunley, James Lastovic, Victoria Konefal, and Chandler Massey are set to be back as Tony DiMera, Anna DiMera, Joey Johnson, Ciara Brady, and Will Horton, respectively.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Penghlis and Hunley last appeared in April, while Massey last aired in September and Konefal in October. Lastovic has been off the canvas since 2017 when Joey was sent to prison for the murder of Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).

On the exit front, Casey Moss wrapped up his visit as JJ Deveraux, when the character headed back to South Africa.

Days of our Lives History

DOOL made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, five decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) evil schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). DAYS airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for air times.
