Days of Our Lives Recap: Ciara Defends Ben… To ABBY!

The Days of Our Lives recap for Tuesday, January 8 features Ciara barking up the wrong tree when she tries to stick up for Ben — to Abby, of all people.

Ciara (Victoria Konefal) visited Abigail (Kate Mansi), who told her how dangerous Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) is. Abby was flabbergasted to hear they were dating. Ciara pointed out that Abby should understand mental illness better than anyone.

Abby disagreed and asked her to be careful. Ciara asked if being with Ben is a betrayal to women. She admitted she’s not sure what to do, but Abby said she does– walk away while she still can.

Chad (Billy Flynn) asked Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) to help him plan a special date with Abigail.

Kate (Lauren Koslow) interrupted and tried to get Chad to accept the CEO position at DiMera. He said no — he didn’t want to lose his soul and returned his father’s ring to her. She told him to take it back and make it his.

Gabi (Camila Banus) was scared of Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), and he apologized to her. He spilled about his problems with Ciara. Gabi then told him she hopes Ciara dumps him. Alone, he realized what he had to do to keep Ciara.

Ben went to quit but found Chad… who let him know he’s the new CEO and he works for him now.

Gabi ran into Julie and told her Abby dropped the charges. When Julie said she’d testify, Gabi threatened her.

Rafe (Galen Gering) was shocked to hear from Stefan that Hope offered him a deal if he turned on Ben. Stefan rubbed it in that Hope doesn’t care about justice for Gabi.

Hope (Kristian Alfonso) persuaded Ted (Gilles Marini) to represent Stefan (Tyler Christopher).

Ted asked what was in it for her. She asked him to suggest he give up Ben. He agreed — for her. Rafe went to see Hope and found her close to Ted. Once alone, Rafe confronted Hope about how she’s lost all perspective.

Ted offered his services to Stefan, who hired him. But he couldn’t get him out until morning.
