The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, January 8 features a confrontation between Victoria and Phyllis… and Billy reassuring Reed. Plus, Lola gets a pep talk, and Devon warning it’s his way or the highway.
A Dish Best Served Cold
Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) fretted to Billy (Jason Thompson) that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) doesn’t really want to host JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) memorial service.
Billy assured Reed that no matter how complicated Victoria’s relationship with JT was, it’s nothing compared to how much she loves Reed.
In fact, Victoria was at Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) house right then and there, asking him and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to attend. Nick agreed, and the conversation turned to Phyllis’s conviction that Victor (Eric Braeden) is guilty of JT’s murder.
Nick left and Victoria blasted Phyllis since she knows Victor isn’t to blame. Phyllis didn’t care. Victor barely served any time for what he did to her and Jack (Peter Bergman). This is justice.
Victor is no better than JT, except that Victoria and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) keep forgiving him. Victoria slapped her rival and warned Phyllis not to fan the flames – or else.
Lola (Sasha Calle) had a meltdown when her dry run for Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) restaurant was judged conservative by Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), and Kyle (Michael Mealor).
She wanted to quit, but then everyone tells her how wonderful she is, and Lola went back to the kitchen to emerge with perfection. Crises averted! Kissing commenced!
Ana (Lorna Lott) convinced Fen (Zach Tinker) to let her remix his song. They played it for Devon (Bryton James), who threw a tantrum about anyone questioning his musical brilliance.
Devon accused Ana of not caring about him and only using him for her own career. She can’t play with his record company anymore!
