Here are the latest comings and goings casting news from all four daytime dramas: The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless.
Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
After two years off Days of our Lives, he last appeared in 2022, Casey Moss is finally back on the screen as JJ Deveraux. The actor begins airing on Thursday, October 17, when JJ turns up in Paris to officiate Chad (Billy Flynn) and “Abigail’s” (AnnaLynne McCord) impromptu wedding. Moss, who debuted as Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) son in 2013, is back for a short story arc.
Other big family returns are also on the horizon. Patrika Darbo will soon be heading back to Salem as Nancy Wesley. The actress made her last appearance on the soap in 2020. This time around, she’ll be bringing her character’s youngest daughter with her. AlexAnn Hopkins, whose credits include The Goldbergs, Criminal Minds, and Chicago PD, will be making her daytime debut as Joy Wesley. Both actresses begin airing the week of October 21.
Madelyn Kientz gets more airtime as Sophia Choi. She airs on Thursday, October 17, in scenes with Leo Howard’s Tate and opposite Tamara Braun’s Ava on Friday, October 18.
Louis Tomeo pops back in as Aaron Greene. He’ll interact with his Days’ bestie, Tate, on Friday, October 18.
Scott Reeves is returning to General Hospital as Steven Webber, Heather’s (Alley Mills) son and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) half-brother. He’ll make his debut on October 24. The character has been off the canvas since he lost his medical license and was sent to prison for killing a comatose murderer, serving a life sentence, and using his organs to save a teenager in need of a transplant. Reeves is the real-life husband of Melissa Reeves, who plays Jennifer Horton Deveraux on Days of our Lives.
Cassandra James pops in as Dr. Terry Randolph on Monday, October 14. She’ll share scenes with her bestie, Rebecca Herbst’s Elizabeth.
Parry Shen reappears as Brad Cooper, too. On Monday, October 14, look for the character to make a bold move.
Charles Mesure returns as Jack Brennan on Wednesday, October 16. He’ll interact with Finola Hughes’ Anna.
In addition, Michael Knight is on the scene as Martin Grey. The attorney is slated to work opposite Finola Hughes’ Anna.
Meanwhile, that was Judy Kain portraying Elaine, the private investigator who’s been tailing Carly (Laura Wright). And Jackson Mercado turned up as Principal Ford, the school official who met with Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) about Violet’s (Jophielle Love) spat with a classmate.
Jess Walton finally makes an appearance as The Young and the Restless’ long-missing Jill Abbott. Look for the character to issue an ultimatum to her son, Billy (Jason Thompson), on Tuesday, October 15.
Lily Brooks O’Briant gets more screen time as Lucy Romalotti. The teenager shares scenes with her TV grandmother, Michelle Stafford’, who has a special episode devoted to the 30th anniversary of her debut as Phyllis on Friday, October 18.
Minita Gandhi makes another appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful as Shandra. The spiritual healer, who Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) summoned to help save Taylor (Rebecca Budig) last week, airs on Monday, October 14. Once again, she’ll interact with Kaye and Budig. Gandhi’s credits include guest spots on Chicago Fire, How to Get Away with Murder and CSI: Vegas.
