DAYS Alum Jen Lilley Shares A Very Happy Announcement

When it’s holiday time, the name Jen Lilley pops up quite a bit, as Days of our Lives’ former Theresa Donovan is something of a regular on the holiday movie circuit, and this year you can watch Lilley in Snowkissed coming out on the Hallmark Channel soon.

So, when the actress posted an Instagram video near a Christmas tree just days before Halloween, it didn’t seem that out of the ordinary. However, as Lilley was going through the decorations, she pointed to a new ornament on the tree that revealed a big surprise.

“Christmas is not canceled,” she said on the video, walking towards the ornament and reading “Baby Wayne” to announce that she is pregnant. It’s news that was shared by People Magazine as well, and Lilley directed fans to the article that first alerted people to her happy news.

“Surprise!!!!!!!!” she posted. “Thank you @people for helping us break the news!!!” According to People, Lilley and husband Jason Wayne will be welcoming family member No. 5 to the household next year, with the new little bundle of joy joining half-brothers Kayden, 5, and Jeffrey, 3, whom they adopted from foster care in 2019 and 2020, respectively; and daughter Julie, now 2, in 2019.

“Julie was planned, but this was definitely a surprise,” the actress told People, adding she was headed to Canada to work on another TV movie, Royally Wrapped for Christmas when she sensed a change in her body.

“I don’t know what it is with me, but I honestly will know like day after conception, I’m very aware of my body,” she said. “I felt very pregnant and I thought, ‘This is very weird.’ I was excited, but also it was so strange. I was in this long customs line in Canada waiting for my work permit, and I’m texting my husband and our nanny via group text, ‘I think I’m pregnant right now?’” What great news to learn heading towards the holidays!
