Paulina Price Finally Found Her Political Morality On DAYS

Is it a case of better late than never on Days of our Lives? When Brady called Mayor Paulina Price and asked her to fire EJ as District Attorney so that his son, Tate, would be tried as an adult for allegedly giving Holly the drugs she overdosed on, Paulina categorically refused. No! That would be wrong! Paulina can’t let personal feelings influence her professional decisions! Justice is blind in Salem, and all must be treated the same under the eyes of the law! That was….new.

Paulina Price: My Precious Baby

Paulina (Jackeé Harry) had no such scruples when it came to Chanel (Raven Bowens). We’re not talking about her throwing money around to keep Chanel from being arrested for killing Sloan’s (Jessica Serfaty) mother. (Remember this?) We’re talking about how Paulina, as the wife of then-mayor Abe (James Reynolds) arranged for her beloved daughter to celebrate Thanksgiving in prison surrounded by her family. No one should be alone on Thanksgiving! Well, except for all the prisoners who weren’t married to the mayor.

Cleaning House

Then, when Abe had amnesia and the deputy mayor was trying to close down Chanel’s bakery for the minor health infraction of poisoning half the town, Paulina pulled more strings to have herself appointed mayor. And her first order of business was to fire Melinda (Tina Huang). Not because — even Paulina admitted — Melinda had committed legal malpractice as part of her job, but because Paulina didn’t like the woman — for having prosecuted dear Chanel earlier.

One Of These Things Is Not the Other

Now that it’s Brady’s (Eric Martsolf) child, however, and not Paulina’s, in prison unfairly, Paulina is all about doing things by the book, and not pulling strings or selling political favors. What kind of woman does Brady think she is? Honestly, she’s offended he’d even think so poorly of her.
