Just when it looked like a Hope and Rafe reconciliation was finally in reach, Kristian Alfonso opted to exit Days of Our Lives, leaving Galen Gering without a leading lady.
Now that Gering’s back on the canvas, the powers-that-be need to think quick and connect Rafe to someone new. Who fits the bill for an intriguing match? Here are three women who would be perfect for Rafe.
Rafe and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) have an interesting past. Remember he once pretended to be her baby daddy when she was pregnant with EJ’s child. During the ruse, the pair bonded and developed feelings for each other that never came to fruition.
This time they could, slowly, as Nic realizes new hubby Eric (Greg Vaughan) isn’t coming home anytime soon. Lonely and confused, she could turn to Rafe for companionship… and more.
Like Rafe and Nicole, Rafe and Kate have a past, too. And it’s even more intriguing. They were once lovers after a one-night drunken romp led to more. Unfortunately, for Rafe, the tryst happened while Kate was wed to Stefano (Joseph Mascolo), who retaliated by ordering a henchman to “cut off” Rafe’s private parts.
Fortunately, for Rafe, the guy failed. With Stefano gone and Kate’s new lover Jake (Brandon Barash) likely headed back to Gabi (Camila Banus), she could find herself manless, yet again. That is unless Rafe step’s into the picture.
How about somebody totally new for Rafe, like Chloe? Nadia Bjorlin’s back as the sexy opera singer and is obviously headed toward rekindling things with Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson), but he’s a bad boy with a lot of baggage. Since she’s a mom, she might want a more stable reputable guy in her life, and Rafe fits the bill.
Plus, it could set up a triangle and some fireworks if her bestie, Nicole, is in the mix, too. Chloe and Nicole haven’t battled it out for a man (Brady) in years. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
