Days of our Lives’ Ciara has always been a perfect blend of her mother and father. She’s got Hope Williams Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) sass and savviness, and Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) resilience and defiance.

But, of late, the show’s writers have added bold, bitchy, and bratty to her repertoire. In the process, the character has emerged as a true new kick-ass villainess, and it’s totally revamped supercouple Ben and Ciara.
DAYS: Fierce and Fiery
Actress Victoria Konefal is clearly enjoying Ciara’s turnaround. She’s infused the amnesiac version of her character with a degree of fire that viewers haven’t seen before. Appalled to learn she was married to former serial killer, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), and repulsed by the idea that she could possibly have been in love with him, she’s harshly rebuffed and rejected him at every turn.
As the plot’s progressed, Ciara’s emerged as a consummate villainess – mean, nasty, and downright cruel. Could anything have topped her setting her wedding date to Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) on the first anniversary of her marriage to Ben? Absolutely not. And Konefal’s played it all to the hilt with nonstop energy and unbridled determination.

Days of our Lives: Persistent Passion
The best part of the storyline has been how it’s upped the chemistry and set off new sparks between Ciara and Ben; those of the “there’s a thin line between love and hate” variety. The more Ciara insists she loathes Ben, the more it intensifies things between the estranged couple; especially since Ben continually pushes back, insisting their powerful love will prevail. It’s totally upped the undeniable passion between the pair.
Hang In There, “Cin” Fans
While many “Cin” fans are barking about the story turn, not wanting to see their favorite couple torn apart, this twist has put Ciara and Ben prominently in the spotlight. It’s also given Konefal and Wilson something new and different to play. As Ben, Wilson gets to fight tooth and nail to get his soulmate to remember their precious love. As Ciara, Konefal gets to mask confusion and fear by adamantly refusing to consider any of Ben’s proposals.
Since reuniting the pair is Days of our Lives’ obvious end game, true love will prevail when all is said and done. Ciara and Ben will reconcile and all will be well in “Cin” land. But, in the meantime, watching Konefal’s no-holds-barred turn as a bad girl continues to be fun to watch.
