Johnny (Carson Boatman) discusses his position at DiMera Enterprises with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel), namely, that he’s leaving the company. “What do you mean you’re quitting?” asks a perplexed EJ.
“I have an infant at home and a pregnant wife who’s…” Johnny starts to explain, but then stops. “What?” interrupts his concerned father.
Abe’s Choice
At home, Lexie (Nikki Crawford) confronts Abe (James Reynolds) about the state of their relationship. “Paulina stepped aside, but I need to know that you have made that choice,” she announces to her husband.
A Widow Remembers
The anniversary of John’s (Drake Hogestyn) death stirs up feelings for his widow, Marlena (Deidre Hall). She holds up a coin and stares at a photo of her late husband on her phone. She fights to hold back tears as she clutches the phone to her chest.
Facing Facts
Ari (Vico Escorcia) wants her uncle, Rafe (Galen Gering), to open up to her about something. Or is it someone? “Enough avoiding the subject,” she tells him, looking him straight in the eye and taking a sip of her drink.
Temporary Resurrection?
Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) meets with EJ at the mansion and delivers some disturbing news. “One of the rats treated with the same serum that cured Lexie has met with an untimely end,” he announces. EJ closes his eyes, clearly not wanting to think about what that might mean for his sister.
Back at the apartment, Lexie nearly trips and falls, but quickly catches herself. She feels unsteady and grabs the side of her head. It looks like the life-saving drug that brought her back to life may be having negative effects on her.
