DAYS Fans Take on Aiden and His Return: Was it Worth It?

For months, we knew Daniel Cosgrove as on his way back to “Days of Our Lives” and Salem. What we didn’t know was whether the actor would play Aiden Jennings or a brand-new character. After all, Aiden truly seemed dead last November as his body was hauled away from Hope’s living room in a bag.

Well, it turns out Cosgrove is playing Aiden after all and will be for quite a while. Aiden’s sudden return-from-the-dead was explained in a special flashback episode that showed us exactly here Mr. Jennings had been for the last six months.

Soap Hub asked if you liked the story behind Aiden’s return or if it fell totally flat.

Out of about 2,000 votes, 53% of you thought it was a total yawn. You didn’t see the need for a character who had barely been on the show two years to have his own hour devoted solely to him. You could have done without the “title cards” telling us what we were watching and certainly didn’t need to see Aiden’s reaction to every bit of news out of Salem.

On the other hand, 38% loved it. You thought the episode was quite clever and remained enthralled by Cosgrove’s performance throughout the whole hour. You liked seeing Aiden’s point of view as much as you loved Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) shock, horror, and utter anger at his return.

The final 9% don’t even care. You’re sick of back-from-the-dead stories and thought they were a thing of Salem’s past. You wish Aiden would have stayed in the grave so Hope could move on with her life with Rafe (Galen Gering).
