Abe Carver is a Days of our Lives fan favorite player. Is there a better dad? A better Mayor? A better man? You’d be hard-pressed to try to fill his shoes! Today, we take a walk down Memory Lane at his greatest moments and most beautiful love stories.

A Days of our Lives Tribute

Abe’s (James Reynolds) sweet disposition and tough-as-nails follow-the-law life have kept him at the top of his game. He’s romanced the best of them. From his epic romance with Lexie Carver (Renee Jones) to his short but sweet time with Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo), he knows how to wine and dine the ladies.

We’ve watched Abe’s love stories change his life in ways he did not expect. The birth of his son, the arrival of the woman they both thought was his daughter, the heartbreaking loss of Lexie, near-death experiences, and playing hero more times than we can count. Who wouldn’t fall for him?

Nowadays, Abe is following his heart and giving in to his desire for Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). Their connection was almost cut short after she revealed the truth about Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) and her dangerous ex coming to town, but their love is reigniting once again. Will she become the next Mrs. Carver? We can’t wait to find out!

Days of our Lives History

DAYS made its debut in 1965 and is one of the longest-running daytime soap operas in American history. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more. It was developed as a half-hour soap opera for NBC by prolific soap scribe Irna Phillips along with her longtime director, Ted Corday, and Allan Chase. Corday’s son, Ken Corday, continues the family tradition by serving as executive producer.

From Sami Brady’s (Alison Sweeney) crazy schemes to Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) one-liners to the epic love story of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), DAYS knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Fans love their daytime soap operas and the excitement in Salem is non-stop.
