Actor, author, activist, producer, and more… Mike Manning is a young man who wears a lot of hats. Now he’s adding Days of Our Lives cast member to the list, having debuted in the role of Charlie, the new intern at Titan Industries.

However, the Fort Lauderdale, FL native isn’t a newcomer to the soap world. He recurred as Caleb McKinnon on the digital series The Bay in 2019. Plus, his resume is filled with an array of other projects, including MTV’s Teen Wolf, Tyler Perry’s The Have and the Have Nots, Hawaii Five-0, and Crash & Bernstein.

1. Manning’s TV career began on a reality show. In 2009 he landed a spot on the 23rd season of the MTV series The Real World: DC after he and a friend auditioned for the show on a whim.
2. He is best known for his role as Nick Swift in the Disney movie Cloud 9, which centers on competitive snowboarding. To prepare for the film, Manning trained with former members of the U.S. Olympic Snowboarding Team.
3. Manning teamed with ‘N Sync’s Lance Bass and Tom DeSanto to executive produce Kidnapped for Christ. The documentary film explores a controversial behavior modification program for teens sent to Escuela Caribe in the Dominican Republic. It was sold to Showtime and released in 2014.
4. The actor and a few friends started a chocolate company with a catch name in 2019: Nude. Their specialty bars are made with 75% dark chocolate and infused with Reishi mushroom and a super blend of herbs. Plus, they’re vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and non-GMO.
5. Manning is the voice of Denver in Money Heist, the English version of the Netflix hit La Casa de Papel. He’s also voiced characters in other projects, like Juan Pablo on Unstoppable and Ricardo on Spectros.
6. He’s an ambassador for Boo2 Bullying. The organization, founded in 2011 in response to bullying in schools, online, and in the media, provides education, support, and mentorship to youth and their families.
7. Regarding celebrities he looks up to, Manning cites Leonardo DiCaprio for his diverse work as an actor and as a producer, who’s created films about the world and the environment.
