Peter Reckell makes no secret about being a devout environmentalist, as Days of our Lives’ former Bo Brady has an electric car, promotes conservation and recycling, and even lives in an eco-friendly, fuel-efficient, solar-powered home.

In fact, he tore down his former home to build that and shipped the remains of that house to Mexico for reuse by Habitat for Humanity.
Not surprisingly, Reckell keeps up with all the latest environmental content and took to his Twitter account to talk up one of the latest and buzziest films out there, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
“I just watched this amazing movie, ‘Kiss the Ground,'” he wrote. “I know some of you shut down when I post something about climate change, but I challenge you to watch this movie and see how simple it would be to preserve our planet.”
Based on a book of the same name, and directed by award-winning filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell, the movie explains how we can all combat climate change.
The film, narrated by and featuring Woody Harrelson, shows how by regenerating the world’s soils, the human race can rapidly and completely stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies.
By using persuasive graphics and visuals, as well as compelling NASA and NOAA footage, Kiss the Ground illustrates how, by drawing down atmospheric carbon, soil is the missing piece of the climate puzzle.
“We should be thriving, the planet booming with life and abundance and the healthiest generation walking the earth. Instead, we’re facing extreme weather and a food system in desperate need of change,” said executive producer Nicole Shanahan in a Q&A featured on the Kiss the Ground website.
“Kiss the Ground lays out a path forward to a measurable drawdown of carbon from the atmosphere, increasing food security for future generations, and generating new economic opportunities and entrepreneurial activity. The synergies are waiting for us, just beneath our feet, and I’m excited to see how the film brings this story to life and inspires people to take action.”
The film’s producers have set a goal of 100 million viewers, and so far, the film has been watched by about 6.7 million. With Reckell’s review, hopefully, DAYS fans can get that number climbing fast. Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
