Stephanie Waring is a British actress who is best known for being the second actress to play Cindy Cunningham on Hollyoaks on-and-off for over 20 years. She replaced Laura Crossley.

Along with her role on Hollyoaks, Waring has also appeared in shows such as Coronation Street, Holby City, and Crash Palace. From where she was born and raised to her battle with anorexia, here are five fast facts about the actress.

Who Is Stephanie Waring?

The actress was born on February 19 in Urmston, Greater Manchester to parents Mary and John Waring. She attended Flixton Girls’ High School and became interested in acting at a young age.

Soap Career
She was cast as Cindy Cunningham on Hollyoaks in the mid-‘90s, taking over from Crossley. Waring was on the show until 2001 but then returned briefly in 2002 and 2004. She then came back as a series regular in May 2008, thrilling fans and also played her character in the spinoff, Hollyoaks Later.

Battle With Anorexia
Waring has been open about the fact that she suffered from anorexia as a teenager. She was admitted to the hospital at the age of 14 and had to fight for life because she had lost so much weight. She revealed she had a warped sense of her body and felt like she needed to lose a lot of weight, so she just never stopped dieting. Thankfully, she got the help she needed and is focused on living a healthy life.

Focusing On Her Fitness

Speaking of living a healthy life, Waring has really gotten into fitness and keeps fans updated on her journey on Instagram. In various social media posts, she explains she used to be “skinny fat” and never felt the urge to get in shape until now. In June, she explained she had given up alcohol in order to help her feel better in the gym.

She has two daughters, Mia, who was born in 2005, from her relationship with Dan Jillings. She had Lexi Grace, who was born in 2010, from her time with Dan Hooper, whom she was with between 2008 and 2014. She had postpartum depression after her second daughter’s birth.
