Nikki Sanderson is a British actress and singer who is best known for her work as Candice Stowe on Coronation Street and Maxine Minniver on Hollyoaks.

Who Is Nikki Sanderson?

Sanderson was born on March 28 in Blackpool, Lancashire, where she was also was raised. Her first acting performance was in the kids’ drama Children’s Ward as a teenager.

Pop-Star Impression
Along with being a talented actress, Sanderson also has a musical side. She sang on a number of television shows growing up, including Stars in Their Eyes, in which contestants have to impersonate a famous singer. Sanderson chose country singer LeAnn Rimes, doing her hit song, Can’t Fight the Moonlight, which got her the victory.

Soap Career
Sanderson was just 15 years old when she was cast as Candice Stowe on Coronation Street, but she ended up leaving the show just six years later in 2005. She was then cast as Maxine Minniver in Hollyoaks in 2012 and has been a part of the show ever since. She received Best Actress nominations in 2014 and 2015 at the British Soap Awards for her performance.

X-Factor Dreams

Not only did she win Stars in Their Eyes, but Sanderson also appeared on The X Factor: Battle of the Stars, which was a celebrity edition of the reality show that aired in 2006. She was mentored by Sharon Osbourne, but she was the fifth person to be eliminated.
