Danny Miller is an award-winning British actor best known for playing Aaron Livesy in Emmerdale for just over a decade.
Along with his work on the British soap, he has also appeared on shows like Grange Hill, Jamaica Inn, and Scott & Bailey. From where he was born and raised to the important charity he co-founded, here are five fast facts about the actor.
He was born on January 2 in Stockport, Cheshire, England to parents Andrea and Vince Miller. His father is a comedian. Miller made his television debut in the children’s BBC drama Grange Hill in 2007.
Soap Career
Miller was cast as Aaron Livesy in Emmerdale in 2008 and stayed on the show until the spring of 2012. However, he ended up announcing his return to the part in April of 2014 and his first scenes back aired in August of that same year.
Three-Time Winner
Thanks to his work on the soap, he has won three British Soap Awards for Best Actor throughout his career. He picked up back-to-back wins in 2011 and 2012 and then won for the third time in 2016. Along with the Best Actor trophies, Miller also won Best Male Dramatic Performance at the 2016 British Soap Awards.
Miller, along with fellow actor Daniel Jillings, created the charity Once Upon a Smile, in memory of former Emmerdale producer Gavin Blyth. The charity provides emotional support for families who are struggling following the death of a loved one.
Getting Personal With Danny Miller
He is currently not married and does not have any children, but he did previously date Hollyoaks actress Kirsty-Leigh Porter. The couple started their relationship in 2010 but the couple called it quits by 2015.
