Sympathies are going out to Tanner Novlan, the actor who plays Finn, Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s husband on The Bold and the Beautiful. The actor shared on social media news of a dearly loved one’s passing.

Tanner Novlan Suffers a Personal Loss

“Grandma Bea,” Novlan (Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan) solemnly began a tribute post to his late grandmother, Beatrice Evelyn (Prince) Novlan, who passed away on February 13 at the age of 93. “The most patient teacher, best vegetable gardener and most amazing grandma I could ever ask for. I’ll miss you.”

According to her obituary, Beatrice Evelyn Novlan was born to parents Madeleine and Charles Prince. She became a teacher to the surge of post-World War II children. In 1952, Beatrice wed Clem Novlan in 1952. She worked as a volunteer judge for the Paradise Hill Figure Skating Club for 12 years. She served on the committee that drafted and published the tome Echoes of an Era, a history of Paradise Hill, and surrounding communities. She kept that book close to her for the rest of her life.

Remembering A Beloved Grandmother

Beatrice is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Clem, who died in 2019. She is survived by numerous family members including Tanner Novlan and his wife Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin, B&B). Her obituary stated that both Beatrice and Clem “believed that people, businesses and families thrive when the community thrives, and they were up for the challenge. If you wish to honor Beatrice, please donate your time, resources, or money to a charitable cause that benefits your community.”

Tanner Novlan’s B&B Pals Show Support

Tanner’s co-stars have shared supportive comments and condolences. “I’m so sorry bro,” wrote Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton). Katrina Bowden (Flo Fulton) wrote, “So sorry for your loss my friend.” Added TV wife Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), “I’m so sorry Tanner.” Also, Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer) wrote, “Oh man. Sorry for your loss. brother.”
