Sean Kanan and Rena Sofer worked together long before they played opposite each other as Deacon Sharpe and Quinn Fuller on The Bold and the Beautiful. We’re not talking about their runs on General Hospital…the two actors appeared in an independent feature title, March, which was first released in 2001.

Sean Kanan Marches On

“Recently,” Kanan posted on Twitter, “I have had several requests to watch a film called March. This was the first feature film I produced, and I also play the titular character Julian March. My childhood friend Jim Mercurio directed, and the film also stars Rena Sofer and Kevin McCorkle [ex-Dr. Rose, General Hospital]. It’s an oddly beautiful and disturbing film.”

Emotional Backstory

The film tells the story, according to a logline for the movie, of Julian March, a man who is unhappy with his wife, his family, and his mistress (played by Sofer). His being detached and cold brings darkness to the March family and those around him. The question remains whether or not Julian realizes his emotional alienation and moves on before it’s too late.

The film also features Michelle Phillips (ex-Anne Mathison, Knots Landing). The late Lana Clarkson plays Dr. Ellen Taylor in the film. Click here to check out how you can see March.

After filming March, Kanan and Sofer were reunited on B&B where Deacon and Quinn got wrapped up in a tumultuous relationship. At one point, Quinn pushed Deacon off a cliff after she changed her mind about doing away with Liam (Scott Clifton). Deacon went to jail for a while for shooting Quinn. He was later released and has turned his life around, buying the Il Giardino restaurant and forging a healthy relationship with his daughter, Hope (Annika Noelle).
