It started as a casual affair between two friends reaching out to each other for physical comfort and affection. Along the way, it turned into a titillating and forbidden coupling on The Bold and the Beautiful. But do the shunned Quinn Fuller Forrester and Carter Walton actually have a future together?
The Bold and the Beautiful: Who’s to Blame?
The revelation of the pair’s tryst has ended two relationships: Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) marriage to Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) engagement to Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes).
Not surprisingly, the Forrester family has forgiven Carter for the dalliance and put all the blame for what happened on Quinn. Eric’s even agreed to keep Carter on as COO and patent attorney at Forrester Creations, if he represents him in his pending divorce and, more importantly, stays away from Quinn.
Bold and Beautiful: Unstoppable Sparks
There’s only one problem, Quinn and Carter haven’t been able to shake their feelings or desire for one another. The sexual tension between them is undeniable. The minute they’re alone in the same room together — sparks ignite.
A recent visit to Carter’s loft ended with him and Quinn succumbing to passion on his sofa. Even though they both insisted it was wrong and they shouldn’t ever cross that line again, they couldn’t stop themselves. The heat between them was just too strong.
B&B: More Than Sex
All that heat aside, there’s a lot more to Quinn and Carter than just steamy sex.
Quinn recently told Carter that being Mrs. Eric Forrester always made her feel as if she wasn’t good enough. Yet, with Carter, she felt free and easy simply being herself. Meanwhile, Carter truly accepts Quinn for the woman she is and admitted that he hasn’t been able to get her out of his head, since their first “encounter.”
The Bold and the Beautiful: Forging Forward
So why fight the feeling? Now that the truth’s out, and they’re both free, there’s really nothing stopping Quinn and Carter from being together. Well, except for the Forrester clan, who’s branded Quinn with a giant “A” scarlet letter and is holding Carter’s job over his head.
Yet, if the pair truly believe in their relationship and want to give it a chance, they should. The first step Carter must take is to tell Eric he won’t represent him in his divorce. Then he needs to resign from Forrester Creations. Bill (Don Diamont) needs a new attorney, now that he’s parted ways with Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears), and Carter could easily fill the role.
As for Quinn, she had a successful jewelry company long before she crossed paths with Eric. She can continue that dream and go out on her own again. The most important thing is for Quinn and Carter to get out from under the Forresters’ collective thumbs and do what makes them happy. If that means pursuing a life together, they can and should go for it.
