He’s not a doctor, but he played one on TV. We’re talking about Gilles Marini, who played Dr. Ghode on The Bold and the Beautiful. Of course, he also played conman lawyer Ted on Days of our Lives. Now, Marini is praising a family member who works as a caretaker to those in need.
Gilles Marini Gives Thanks
“My mom takes care of old people in a nursing home for a long time,” Marini posted on Twitter along with a photo of himself and his mother, Franca. “Of course she’s been quarantine[d] for weeks now but at her place of work so far 19 have died.”
Marini reported some news about his mom for which he’s very grateful. “We are so blessed that she did not get the #coronavirus #superheromom365daysayear,” the actor added.
“Praying for your mom!” posted one of Marini’s followers. “I work at a nursing home as well, and so far we’ve been successful in keeping it out of our building.”
In order to stay safe and also remain fit, Marini has taken to going on hikes. But he and his son went on a recent trek that came with its own set of challenges. “Morning view,” posted Marini, who added a photo of the view he saw on his hike.
“Yep, this is #socialdistancing to the absolute max,” the Dancing With the Stars competitor noted. “I did encounter for the first time in my life a mountain lion. Was huge and did not care at all to been seen. Walk by my son and I. It was like being in the Zoo but inside the cage and at his mercy. #coronavirus.”
Marini’s role as a doctor wasn’t the only character he played on BB. In 2007, he played the short-term role as Jean-Claude and, in 2005, he portrayed a French waiter on the internationally-acclaimed soap. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
