Everyone’s lives have been turned upside down on The Bold and the Beautiful, but the changes we saw coming in one short 30-minute episode were definitely…something else. In fact, it had us shaking our heads, wondering what we just witnessed.
The Bold and the Beautiful Goes Back One Year
When we learned that Rena Sofer would be leaving B&B, it just seemed logical that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) would go right back to Paris Buckingham, who he was about to marry before Quinn Fuller interrupted it all. Instead, we were thrown a curveball when the soap suddenly remembered that the long-absent Katie Logan (Heather Tom) had been growing closer to Carter last fall after his first breakup with Quinn.
Out of nowhere, Carter confided in Katie that Quinn up and left him with no explanation, so she just decided to go in for the kill and kiss him. Shocking for Katie, yes, but she has nothing on her niece, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Was That A Dream…Or Did Hope and Thomas Kiss?
If Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) wasn’t hallucinating on Bold and the Beautiful again, imagining a mannequin as Hope, it looks like the real Hope decided to one-up Katie in the shocking kiss department. As Hope modeled one of Thomas’s designs and he looked at her with what seemed to be creepy admiration, Thomas confessed his feelings for Hope, and she went right in for the kill — or should we say the kiss.
Thomas looked more shocked than Hope did at the move, but could either of them be more shocked than us? We were half-expecting Hope’s mother, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), to follow her family members, but she sure is getting close….
Bold and the Beautiful: Brooke’s About To Do It Again
There’s just something about Brooke and her daughters’ boyfriends and husbands. She can’t stay away from them and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), who had to have learned his waffling ways from the original waffler himself, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), is about to be her next conquest. Heck, Hope is even born from an affair her mother had with her sister’s husband, so when Hope sleeps with Thomas and then learns that Brooke slept with Liam, she shouldn’t be the least bit shocked at all.
You don’t have to be a 40-year-watcher of soaps to know that’s exactly what’s coming any day now. Brooke may have not pulled Liam in for a wet one, but she did cry on his shoulder and tell us what to look out for in the weeks to come. Never change, Brooke, never change.
And no, Brooke will never change, but at least she’s in some pretty good Logan company at the moment. All we need is Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) suddenly deciding Eric Forrester (John McCook) isn’t her Honeybear after all, and it will be four for four.
