Brooke Logan made what she thought was an innocent visit to Thomas on The Bold and the Beautiful only to find her daughter Hope in bed with him. This gave Brooke’s portrayer, Katherine Kelly Lang, the opportunity to cut loose with some unbridled passion — the kind her character’s been on the receiving end over the years because of Brooke’s decisions with her own love life.

Brooke cautiously let herself into Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) new residence hoping to have a peaceful conversation with the man she’s been at odds with in the past. She was surprised to see Hope’s Forrester Creations identification badge. Lang let the realization that Thomas and Hope might be together intimately wash over an incredulous Brooke as she headed upstairs to investigate.
Lang played Brooke as being absolutely astonished to discover Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas in bed together! “You are a married woman — or have you forgotten?” Brooke asked of her daughter. “How could you do this, Hope? How?”
Over the years, Brooke faced the wrath of her on-again/off-again mother-in-law Stephanie (Susan Flannery) who never failed to mince words when it came to telling Brooke what she thought of her actions. While Lang brought intensity to Brooke’s reaction, she based her response on concern for Hope’s future well-being.
While Brooke kept her focus on Hope, Lang made the choice to direct her gaze towards Thomas when Brooke thought out loud that perhaps he had manipulated her daughter after all! While Stephanie mostly tried to steer Brooke away from Ridge, Brooke was trying to convince Hope that she belonged with her husband. Hope shot back to Brooke that if anyone should be able to understand her position it would be her! This prompted Lang to play Brooke as truly bewildered as the show broke for a set of commercials.
“Honey, you are nothing like me,” a supportive Brooke selflessly told Hope after her daughter admitted that she was following in her mother’s path. “I don’t want you following in my footsteps…you are so much better than that, Hope.”
Brooke insisted that Hope was going to go back to her family — to Liam (Scott Clifton), Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri), and Beth (Jordyn Lynn Ariza). “This affair ends today!” Brooke insisted. Bam! It remains to be seen if Brooke’s words are going to have any notable impact on Hope but we do know two things — first, Stephanie would probably support Brooke in her stance. Also, Katherine Kelly Lang delivered a strong performance as Hope’s overprotective mother.
