The Bold and the Beautiful - Stephanie's first scene
Susan Flannery did not appear in the first episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. Rather, she made her debut as Stephanie in the series second installment when Eric returned home from a fashion show!
Viewers learned in this first encounter that there was tension in Eric (John McCook) and Stephanie’s marriage.
He asked her if she felt the same apathy and malaise in their marriage that he did. Steph assumed that Eric had moved onto another woman, guessing it was his assistant Margo (Lauren Koslow).
While Margo carried a torch for Eric and had a fling with Ridge, she never experienced Eric returning the feelings she had for him.
Eric maintained that there was no other woman, but pointed out that their marriage had gone stale.

The scene was not only Stephanie’s first, but it was also the first time viewers were treated to the sight of the Forrester living room, a set that remains on the show to this day.
The couple’s intense dialogue was interrupted by the arrival of Ridge (then Ronn Moss) and Caroline (Joanna Johnson), but no matter. That living room would go on to see man more Eric and Stephanie showdowns.
