The latest Ridge/Brooke split on The Bold and the Beautiful is involving nearly the show’s entire cast. Soap Hub is giving kudos in the form of Performer of the Week for B&B to Annika Noelle for playing Hope Logan Spencer’s reaction to the news, which has resulted in a showdown between her and rival Steffy Forrester Finnegan.

Annika Noelle – Performer of the Week

Hope (Annika Noelle) wasted no time in barging into Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) office to let her know what she thinks of Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) decision to walk out on her mother Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and return to ex-wife Taylor Hayes.

In the past, Hope and Steffy have had showdowns over Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) — the man they’ve both been in love with at different times in their lives. However, this time, Hope went up against her rival over her mother.

Hope accused Steffy of luring Ridge to Aspen so she could help set up her parents’ reunion. Steffy was more than content that her father and mother were back together. But the blonde beauty had a reality of her own she wanted to share; she informed the Forrester Creations executive that “Ridge will always love my mother, Steffy. Always…it’s the truth,” Hope (Annika Noelle) declared. Steffy was stoic in her response but deep down, she has to know that this is the truth.

Steffy claimed that Brooke always ends up letting Ridge down but Hope only sees that the two always find their way back to one another. Still, Hope couldn’t help but be affected as Steffy recounted Ridge and Taylor’s romantic rendezvous in Aspen. However, Hope couldn’t let Steffy’s stance go unchallenged either. Steffy let the facts speak for themselves. She exited the room and ended the duo’s discussion — always a wise move when you feel like you’re winning, which Steffy certainly is (for now).

If and/or when (probably when) the truth comes out that Ridge didn’t have all the right information when he decided to dump Brooke, it’s possible that the two will reunite. And if and/or when that happens (probably when), Hope will be perfectly justified in doing a happy dance yet Annika Noelle doesn’t play Hope as an “I told you so” type character. She will, however, be feeling the great joy that her mother will be happy once again.

Honorable Mention: Watching Hope and Steffy square off against each other is like watching a great tennis match. It’s more enjoyable when both players are at the top of their game. Kudos to Jacqueline MacInnes Wood for playing Steffy as an equally devoted daughter as Hope is.
