The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, January 9, 2020, features Thomas getting what he wanted by ruining everyone’s lives. He eavesdropped, schemed, manipulated, and orchestrated a cheating scandal sure to drive Hope into his arms.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) got quite the shock when she woke up to find Liam (Scott Clifton) sleeping on her couch. She was even more shocked when she found out why. He tried to propose to Hope (Annika Noelle) but instead of getting a yes, his life went awry. He went on and on about his tale of Thomas drama woe and Steffy listened until she couldn’t anymore.
A Ray Of Hope
Meanwhile, Hope sulked to her mama about messing up her life. She told Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) her version of the night before. Liam wanted her but he didn’t want Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri). What is a girl to do? She loves her man but there is no way she is letting Douglas go. She made a commitment to the little boy.
Brooke did her best to soothe Hope and even talked some sense into her. Her life is with Liam and Beth and that’s where her first and foremost loyalties need to be. Not having shared custody of Douglas doesn’t mean ejecting him from her life.
She can still care for the little boy without those ties to Thomas. Hope took her mother’s advice and called Liam to talk. It was then she found out Liam spent the night as his ex’s house.

Master of Manipulation
To make things worse, Thomas was standing outside listening to everything. He heard the entire conversation and then a phone call. He made a mad dash for the cliff house.
He called Steffy and warned her Hope was also on her way. He made a plea for her help to put everyone where they belong. Make your move, Steffy, I’ll let you know when Hope is watching, he said.
Steffy did what she was told and made her move in plain sight for Hope to see. She kissed Liam, he kissed her back, and Hope saw the whole thing.
Mending the Bridge
As soon as Hope left, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) showed up. He listened to Brooke complain about his son but instead of fighting back he took her into his arms and kissed her. He told Brooke he loved her and asked if it was time to come home. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
