On The Bold and the Beautiful, Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan is father to baby Hayes. Now, the actor who portrays him, Tanner Novlan, is set to become a dad for the second time in real life!
Tanner Novlan Is Going To Become A Dad Again
People first reported that Novlan and wife Kayla Ewell (ex-Caitlin Ramirez) are expecting Baby No. 2, a boy, in August. The two performers are already dad and mom to daughter Poppy, 2 1/2.
The handsome actor was already a familiar face to TV fans before he was cast as Finn on B&B courtesy of his commercial for Liberty Mutual. In the spot, he plays an actor who is shooting a commercial, but he can’t remember his lines! Ewell played Caitlin on B&B from 2004 to 2005. She was involved with Thomas Forrester (then, Drew Tyler Bell; now, Matthew Atkinson).
A Rookie Move
Ewell popped up on B&B in 2020 — or rather, the back of her head did. To help out production, due to COVID-19 protocols, she stepped in as Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) when she and Finn shared some more intimate scenes. Ewell is set to guest star on The Rookie on Sunday, February 27 at 10 p.m. The episode, titled Long Shot, has officers Nolan (Nathan Fillion, ex-Joey, One Life to Live) and Harper (Mekia Cox) helping Skip Tracer Randy (Flula Borg) with his first bounty hunter case. Ewell’s playing Sabrina Fowler.
Tanner Novlan’s B&B History
B&B thrust Novlan’s Finn into a storyline right away with his patient Steffy. He recused himself from her case as he didn’t want to date one of his patients. Finn helped Steffy kick her opioid addiction. She became pregnant, and initially, everyone believed that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was the dad, but it turned out that Finn was the father.
