The Thursday, March 12, spoilers for Beyond the Gates focus on Kat’s big news. Meanwhile, Vanessa is publicly humiliated, and Donnell clashes with his sister, who has finally decided to return home from college.

Key Takeaways

  • Kat drops surprising news about her new living arrangements.
  • Vanessa faces public humiliation as Deanna confronts her over Joey.
  • Donnell clashes with his sister as family tensions erupt.
  • Kial doles out words of wisdom.
  • Eva’s proud of Leslie.

Kat’s Moving News

Kat (Colby Muhammad) and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) have thankfully made up. The two were able to hash out their differences. After all was said and done, Kat told Chelsea she was happy for her and Madison (Kenjah). And Chelsea told Kat she understood why she felt the way she did. Regardless, it was enough for the bestie/cousins to make up and resume their platonic power-couple status.

Except for one thing. Kat told her cousin that she would still move out of Dani’s guest house. This disappointed Chelsea, but Kat explained why she wanted to do this. On Thursday, look for Kat to stun Chelsea and Tomas (Alex Alegria) with news of her new living arrangements. And it better not be a room in the same hotel where her dad lives. Ted (Keith D. Robinson) needs to find his own place.

Family Tensions Erupt

Vanessa’s daughter, Deanna McBride (newcomer Angela Fairley), is home from college. And it isn’t long before the drama starts. In BTG’s weekly video preview, it’s clear that Deanna isn’t as accepting of Joey’s presence in Vanessa’s life as her brother, Donnell (Alex Cheeks), is. Deanna unleashes a rant in front of everyone in the room.

“This kind of man comes in here and dedicates a building to your dead husband and drops all that money,” Deanna loudly states. “Unless he’s getting something in return. Clearly, you’re serving it up.” Hey Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), Joey (Jon Lindstrom) was right. Maybe this isn’t the time for your grieving daughter to meet the new man in your life.

Next time, Vanessa should listen to Joey. It hasn’t been that long since Doug (Jason Graham) died. And while Donnell came to accept Joey in his mother’s life, she can’t just snap her fingers and make the world accept him instantly. Earning Deanna’s acceptance could take time, unless Donnell can talk some sense into her. Which brings us to the other spoiler relating to the McBride family.

Look for Donnell to clash with his twin sister. He could potentially bring up the fact that their parents’ relationship was nowhere near solid at the time of his death. And he is probably protective of his mother. The public display Deanna puts on won’t sit well with him.

In Other Fairmont Crest News

While Kial (Greg Vaughan) doles out words of wisdom to someone, look for Eva (Ambyr Michelle) to be proud of Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). This might have to do with the free clinic that is about to open. Maybe she can see what nobody else does. And that’s her mother enjoying the good she’s doing, and it’s not all about the glory (although it’s probably still 95% about the glory).
