The Beyond The Gates recap for Friday, February 28, reveals that Dani is a woman scorned, and she’s going to make Bill’s life hell. Plus, Nicole hires Eva as her temporary assistant while Andre and Ashley are stuck with a woman in labor in an elevator. It was a true Friday cliffhanger filled with drama, intrigue, and a gunshot in Fairmont Crest.
What Happened On Beyond The Gates?
Eva (Ambyr Michelle) talked to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) about filling in for Laura (Destiny Love). She noted that “Leslie” (Trisha Mann) was her surrogate mom. As they talked Nicole noted that somebody ran Laura off the road, and she said things were incredibly busy.
Eva liked Nicole’s elephant, and Nicole said she collected them and offered Eva the job. Eva happily accepted. Later Eva went home to her mom, “Leslie.” She told her mom how Nicole didn’t suspect a thing, and they celebrated. “Leslie” declared Eva would finally be where she belonged — her father’s house.

Hayley Prepares For Her Wedding
Hayley (Marquita Goings) was so excited about the wedding and their honeymoon. She told Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) she hadn’t been out of the country before, but he promised to give her everything. Haylye apologized for costing Bill so much, but he reassured her she hadn’t.
Hayley and her maid of honor/co-worker, Caroline (Ellie Wang), got ready for the wedding together. She worried their coworkers didn’t like her, and Hayley said she’d grown up basically on her own. Caroline reassured her that she’d found family in the law offices of Bill Hamilton.
Caroline presented Hayley with something old and something borrowed to finish out the tradition. She helped Hayley finish getting ready. Hayley worried nobody would attend, but then she decided nobody could spoil her day.
Bill Humiliates Dani
Dani and Andre (Sean Freeman) woke up, and he told her how great their night was. She told him that their time together “never happened” even though she had no regrets. Dani simply wasn’t ready to get involved.
Andre accepted Dani’s boundaries but offered her “options” if she ever got lonely. She told him to leave, but Andre said his car in her driveway could send Bill a message, but Dani said she wasn’t moving on.
Dani showed up at Bill’s. He was getting ready, and she wanted to talk. Dani begged Bill to cancel his wedding and come back home. She poured her heart out to him, and he egged her own. Unfortunately, after that, Bill entirely humiliated Dani.
He called the moment sad and desperate. Bill told her there wasn’t any way he’d cancel or get back with her. He wanted to know what happened to her pride. Dani said Bill made her, but he said she was responsible for herself.
At home, Dani angrily got ready. She pulled down a box from high in her closet.
Nicole’s Perfect Life
Kat (Colby Muhammad) and Andre set up for a photo shoot with Nicole and Ted (Maurice Johnson). As they got ready, Andre asked about Ashley (Jen Jacob) and her firefighter boyfriend. Kat told him Ashley was pretty committed to her boyfriend and hanging out at The Uptown. Ted noted that Ashley wasn’t his normal type, and Nicole warned him to remember Ashley wasn’t a casual woman.
Kat interviewed her parents, and Nicole told the story of how she and Ted met at a medical conference in Maui. They could remember who introduced them, and Nicole said as soon as they met eyes, she knew he was her future. They kissed.
Ashley called Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) to see how she was holding up ahead of Bill’s wedding. Naomi wasn’t thrilled, and Ashley gave her a pep talk. She regretted inviting Hayley into their family, but Ashley wondered if it hadn’t all turned out for the best.
At the hospital, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) asked Ashley for the lowdown on Hayley and Bill. Ashley said Hayley was a seductress, and Bill was a cheater. Later, Andre stopped by the hospital and talked with Ashley. He offered to see Ashley safely to her car, and they got into an elevator with a pregnant woman. Andre jokingly promised to protect them both.
Soon, the elevator got stuck, and the pregnant woman said her baby was coming. Andre and Ashley looked concerned.

Bill And Hayley’s Wedding
At the club, Dani, Anita (Tamara Tunie), Naomi, and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) talked with a group, and Dani said she’d decided to attend for the sake of their girls. Everyone was dressed in black. Anita reminded everybody there wasn’t any need to go to the reception. Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) promised Dani she wasn’t alone.
Bill talked to Vernon (Clifton Davis) and expressed surprise that everyone had shown up despite wearing black. Vernon told him attending the wedding was the last favor he’d ever get from a Dupree.
Vernon and Anita apologized to Dani for insisting she attend the wedding. Dani said it was fine because things work out the way they’re supposed to. They thought what she said felt ominous.
Vanessa saw her husband, Doug (Jason Graham). He promised a trip to the Bahamas to make up for being so busy.
Dani’s best friend, Pamela Curtis (Cady McClain), rushed in. She noted she’d cut her trip short to be there to support Dani as Bill married Hayley. Pamela promised to help get Dani through the night. Later, Vanessa told Dani that she could go to Paris after the wedding, but Dani said the time for Paris had come and gone.
Bill walked up to Dani, and he apologized to her for humiliating him earlier. He said he was tired and asked her if they could coexist. Dani didn’t play nice, and she wished that her forced presence would negatively impact the rest of his and Hayley’s life together. Then, Dani tossed her drink on his face.
Jacob (Jibre Hordges) gave Naomi a drink. She told him she felt sad at how divided and angry her family was due to Bill and Hayley’s affair and wedding.
Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) introduced himself to Kat. She was less than thrilled when she learned he worked as an attorney at Bill’s law firm. He expressed his surprise that everybody showed up, and Tomas asked her out.
Smitty (Mike Manning — who shared some great BTG behind-the-scenes moments) ended a phone call, and Martin (Brandon Claybon) wanted to know who it was, but Smitty kept it vague. Martin wondered if he should be jealous, but Smitty reassured him.
Later, Bill talked to Martin, and he offered to help him. However, Martin wasn’t that interested, but Bill reminded him how favors between their families had always happened. He alluded to certain delicate situations, but Martin didn’t know why he was being singled out, and Bill didn’t want to be accused of “overkill.” Bill warned Martin that the Duprees should reconsider if freezing him out was smart.
Bill told Naomi and Chelsea he was grateful they showed up at his wedding. Naomi walked away without a word, and Chelsea just told Bill she didn’t like him much.
Dani told Nicole that Bill had humiliated her earlier. Nicole told Dani that Bill no longer loved her. She asked Dani if she was obsessed with Bill due to love or if it was fear of being alone. Dani told her sister not to psychoanalyze her. She said she wanted to make Bill pay for what he did. Dani vowed to make Bill suffer.
Naomi and Chelsea checked in on Dani, who told them she was holding up. They noted how Dani looked like a grieving widow. Dani promised her girls that no matter what happened, they should never doubt she loved them.
Everybody went into the ceremony. A harp played as they took their seats. Caroline walked in as Dani glared at Bill. Vernon and the other men with the Duprees stood as Hayley walked in, but Anita gave him a look, and they all sat back down. Hayley joined Bill at the front.
The priest began and welcomed everyone. Dani stood when the priest asked if anybody objected.
“Me. I object,” Dani said. She pulled out a gold gun and walked up to Bill and Hayley; Bill pushed Hayley behind him, and Dani shot the gun. The screen went black as everybody screamed.
