We’ve seen Dani’s anger, frustration, and humiliation all week. Meanwhile, Leslie ran Nicole’s assistant off the road, and we weren’t sure why. In the Thursday, February 27 episode of Beyond the Gates, each of their characters scored big in their own individual ways.
Dani Turned That Frown Upside Down
At the Fairmont Crest Country Club, Dani (Karla Mosley) has another run-in with Hayley (Marquita Goings). The girl said she would do anything for them to coexist behind the gates civilly. What she doesn’t get is that this is a Hayley problem. Dani tries to tell her as much, but something tells us that she won’t believe her because it’s her desperate dream to live in the FC community and be accepted.
After this heated conversation, Dani heads to her daughter’s photo shoot, and she immediately tries to take over the whole thing. Thankfully, Andre (Sean Freeman) suggests she “sit this one out” and let her daughter enjoy the experience. His tactics work.
After the photo shoot, Andre and Dani get their flirt on, and this is exactly what Dani needs to distract herself from the despair and disgust she has been feeling for months and months and maybe even longer. Andre attempts to remind Dani of the woman she used to be and not to let a sleaze like Bill (Timon Durrett) take that away from her. And that’s when the two connect. Will this be a continuous connection, or is this a one-off? Whatever it is, Dani needed it, and the two definitely have chemistry.

Hit and Run Pays Off
Meanwhile, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) is about to experience her own win. On Wednesday, she drove the motorcycle that ran Nicole’s (Daphnée Duplaix) trusty assistant, Laura (Destiny Love), off the road. Well, thankfully, Laura didn’t die. She’s alive and sort of well in the hospital. She has a leg fracture and will have to have surgery and convalesce at Ted’s (Maurice Johnson) clinic. However, she’ll be out of the game for six to eight weeks.
This provides the perfect opening for Leslie to plant her daughter at Nicole’s office. Eva (Ambyr Michelle) will, of course, have to undergo an interview, but there’s no doubt she’ll take Laura’s place as Nicole’s next assistant. Now we need to know why Leslie’s determined to have someone spy on Nicole. This is starting to scream Lifetime movie, so we’re scared of what Leslie wants and how far she’ll go to get it.
