Find out if any of your favorite actors and actresses from yesteryear are returning to the shows you watch, if any newcomers have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles, or if any popular performers are about to make their exit.
General Hospital
There’s double good news for GH fans. Chris McKenna, who has been recurring as Jack Brennan, has inked a contract with the soap. The move comes as the actor’s storyline has begun intensifying. McKenna revealed the news during GH’s recent fan club weekend. He took over the role of Jack last February from Charles Mesure, who originated the part of the WSB station chief.
In addition, even though Rena Sofer announced that she and her husband, Sanford Bookstaver, are moving to New York, she is not leaving her role as Lois Cerrulo. The actress told Soap Opera Digest that she will be commuting for her LA-based job and, in fact, is set to film more episodes soon.
Finn Carr pops back in as Rocco Falconeri on Wednesday, August 13. He airs in scenes opposite Giovanni Mazza’s Gio.
Vernee Watson continues her current visit as Stella Henry. Look for the character to encourage Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) to fight for Trina (Tabyana Ali) on Thursday, August 14.
Marc Forget gets more airtime as Pascal. The character is the concierge at Five Poppies Dalmatia, the Croatian hotel where Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) has been residing.
Days of our Lives
Sal Stowers is back filming scenes as Lani Price Grant at DAYS. The actress and the soap shared the news via a sweet Instagram Reel; specifically, a video of Stowers blowing a kiss to the camera from the studio parking lot along with the caption, “It’s always a beautiful day in Salem.” Stowers, who’s played Lani on and off since 2015, made her last appearance in December 2024. Due to the show’s advance filming schedule, viewers will have to wait several months to see her. She’s not scheduled to air again until spring 2025.
Alice Halsey gets more screen time as Rachel Black on Tuesday, August 12 and Thursday, August 14. She interacts with her TV parents, Stacy Haiduk’s Kristen and Eric Martsolf’s Brady, and Linsey Godfrey’s Sarah.
Timothy Hornor takes on the role of Adam, Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) juror-roommate and a major Body and Soul fan. He shares scenes with Rikaart and Al Calderon’s Leo on Friday, August 15.
Karole Foreman returns as Judge Dabne. The character continues to officiate over Johnny’s trial this week.
Alison Sweeney wrapped up her Salem visit as Sami Brady DiMera. The character has returned to Italy to join her daughter, Sydney.
The Young and the Restless
A popular pair is back and getting some prominent screen time on Y&R. Lauralee Bell and Michael Damian return as the newly engaged Christine Blair and Danny Romalotti on Thursday, August 14. Look for the couple to share scenes with Michael Graziadei’s Daniel and Tracey Bregman’s Lauren.
Jess Walton has completed her quick video visit as Jill Abbott. As always the door remains open for her return at a later date.
The Bold and the Beautiful
As the battle for Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) heart continues on B&B, Jack Wagner is back as Nick Marone. He shares emotional scenes with Lang this week.
Ashleigh Brewer returns as Ivy Forrester. She interacts with her TV niece, Laneya Grace’s Electra, at the Forrester Creations offices on Tuesday, August 12.
Cassandra Creech gets more airtime as Dr. Grace Buckingham. Look for the duplicitous doctor to continue to take a hard fall now that the truth about her fabricating Liam’s (Scott Clifton) brain tumor has been revealed.
Beyond the Gates
Bryton James makes a special crossover appearance on BTG as Devon Winters, his longtime character on Y&R, on Monday, August 11. His character makes a mind-blowing proposition to Anita (Tamara Tunie) and will also interact with Clifton Davis’ Vernon.
