A Word from Diane Brounstein
I chose to work in soap journalism when I was recruited to Soap Opera Magazine by then editor-in-chief, Garrett Foster, who worked at Guiding Light as the writers’ assistant when I was an intern. He told me I could do it, and I’ve been doing it off and on ever since.
I knew I wanted to work in the soap arena since I first walked onto the Edge of Night set at age 15. I interned on three soaps, worked for Dick Clark productions on the Daytime Emmys for a decade, on shows like SoapOgraphy for SoapNET, and dabbled in news – and somehow it’s found me leading the team here at Soap Hub.
My personal interests include searching for shells on the beach, dog sitting, photography, and mentoring younger writers.
