Kate Mansi recently returned to the role on Abby Deveraux DiMera on Days of our Lives, though she’s been appearing on the DAYS app for a while now with her on-screen hubby, Billy Flynn, who plays Chad. Now the actress is honoring the man who will be her husband on his birthday in an adorable way.
Kate Mansi Pens Birthday Surprise
The actress teased last June that she was engaged but wasn’t naming her love just yet but Friday she wished Blake Levin Happy Birthday — and the way she phrased the post’s caption certainly said it all.
“In honor of this being the only year I can say ‘Happy Birthday fiancé,’ I’d like to look back at all the times you created remarkable lead up at incredible places, insisted we take a photo, and then, in fact, did NOT propose. You always keep me guessing @blakelev & I wouldn’t have it any other way. Here’s to you fiancé,” she wrote.
Beautiful Locations
Mansi certainly wasn’t kidding. It looks like Levin went all-out with the gorgeous locations he took her to, including gorgeous views of the water, whether by a cliff or near the rocks, at a fancy restaurant and even during the holiday season. But eventually he did ask and it looks like their wedding will take place within the next year.

Planning a wedding isn’t easy, and Mansi certainly has a lot on her plate — being on recurring status with Days of our Lives and now also her burgeoning directing career — having recently performed those duties for the daytime soap she calls home.
On A Break
Then again, once Thanksgiving arrives and the soap takes a break from filming, she will have some time off and can probably make a lot of headway on the planning. No word yet on when the show will return to produce new episodes but co-star Freddie Smith (Sonny) said it could be as early as January and as late as April.
It will be fun to see how the time jump has affected Chad and Abby, as he seems to be embroiled in a mystery with his father, Stefano. Abby is celebrating her mother, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), waking up from a yearlong coma but what else may have happened to Abby this past year? Stay tuned to find out.
