Kassie DePaiva

Birth Name: Katherine Virginia “Kassie” DePaiva
Birth Place: Morganfield, Kentucky, United States
Profession: Actor, Singer

Born Katherine Virginia Wesley in Morganfield, Kentucky, Kassie is a singer and an actress. She began her career as a solo artist at the age of 18, working at such venues as the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, before attending Indiana University and UCLA to study theatre. Kassie dropped out before graduation for an opportunity to entertain USO troops in Asia.

DePaiva landed the role of Chelsea Reardon on Guiding Light in 1986, followed it up with the role of Bobby Joe in the film Evil Dead II. After leaving Guiding Light, Kassie replaced Mia Korf as Blair Cramer on One Life to Live in 1992 and quickly won the hearts daytime fans, but it was her pairing with Roger Howarth, and later Trevor St. John, as Todd Manning that sealed the deal.

She remained on OLTL until the show ended in 2013, even crossing over to sister soap General Hospital as Blair in 2012. Kassie managed to add other primetime and film credits while working on daytime such as Time Trax, Melrose Place, Baywatch, Undone, We Are What We Are and Castle, before signed on to play Eve Donovan on Days of Our Lives in 2014.

Her stint in Llanview proved to be lucky both personally and professionally for Kassie, because she met her future husband, James DePaiva, who portrayed Max Holden on the show. The two were married on May 31, 1996, and the following year DePaiva gave birth to a son, James Quentin, on May 12. The bi-coastal DePaiva family currently resides in Los Angeles.
