The Days of our Lives recap for Thursday, August 13, 2020 features Eve slinking back into town with a new look, Claire keeping a secret, and Gabi and Jake realizing Gwen’s playing games.
Days of our Lives Recap Highlights
Vincent (Michael Teh) was not working fast enough for Eve (Kassie DePaiva) so she lurked back into town. Don’t worry, she was in disguise, and by disguise, we mean a wig and glasses. Apparently, it worked because she was able to navigate through Salem without anyone noticing the rest of her face and body.
Another Devious Plan
She even got close enough to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) to overhear their conversation with Claire (Isabel Durant). Ben surprised Claire with a thank you and a hug. They then told Claire he was struggling and off to see Marlena.
That’s all Eve needed to hear. She called Vincent and sent him to hijack the meeting. Poor Ben was shocked to walk in the office and see the mad scientist.

Welcome Back, Detective
Meanwhile, the hunt for Eve was driving Hope (Kristian Alfonso) up the wall. She begged Rafe (Galen Gering) to put out an APB, but he had a better idea. He offered to let her do it herself as Salem’s newest detective. Hope said no at first but by the end of the day she had her badge in her pocket.
Too Close To Home
As for Claire, she kept her encounter with Allie (Lindsay Arnold) a secret and turned her attention to staying in town. Marlena (Deidre Hall) gave her the good news that she can stay. Yay! Well, not so much. She was allowed to stick around because her parents were temporarily moving home, too. Boo!
Gwen Was Caught
The battle over DiMera took an interesting turn for Gabi (Camila Banus). Chad (Billy Flynn) came home, which turned out to be a big mistake. His rush back had him dropping a suspicious lie that led Gabi and Jake (Brandon Barash) to the truth. They realized Gwen was working for Chad and spying on everyone in the house.
