Jennifer Gareis — A Biography
Jennifer Gareis was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She attended Franklin and Marshall College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. While attending the liberal arts college, she earned All-American NCAA status three years in a row as one of the top swimmers in the butterfly competition, placing top five nationwide.
Gareis began participating and winning numerous beauty competitions around her hometown, including Miss New York in 1994, Miss Hawaiian Tropic for two consecutive years, Miss Panama Jack, was the second runner-up in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant in 1992 and placed sixth in the Miss USA in1994.
The busy lady moved on to modeling in New York, gracing the pages of such iconic publications as Glamour, Fitness, Esquire, and Women’s Wear Daily before catching the acting bug. Gareis started off slow with an uncredited part in The Mirror Has Two Faces, directed by Barbra Streisand. She followed that up with roles in Private Parts and Lifebreath before being cast as Grace Turner on CBS’ The Young and the Restless in 1997.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Gareis began tacking on film credits such as Luckytown, Miss Congeniality, The 6th Day, Downward Angel, Gangland, Boat Trip, What Boys Like, Point of Entry, and Soul Harvest. TV credits include Diagnosis Murder, Veronica Mars, Comedy Bang! Bang!, and The Home.
In 2006, Gareis joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful as Donna Logan, the middle sister of the Logan clan. Donna supports her sisters whenever she can, and shares the same taste in men.
Gareis is married to Bobby Ghassemieh and has two children, Gavin and Sophia.
