Greg Vaughan

Birth Name: James Gregory Vaughan
Birth Place: Dallas, Texas, United States
Profession: Actor

Born James Gregory Vaughan Jr. in Dallas, Texas. At 16, Greg entered a back-to-school modeling competition. He didn’t win but landed a modeling agent. After graduating from Mesquite High School, Vaughan was invited to Milan.

Greg signed on to model for Giorgio Armani. Later, completed campaigns for Gianni Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren. He went on to model in Miami, where he grew tired of modeling and wanted to follow his dream of acting.

Vaughan headed to Hollywood, quickly landing roles on Baywatch, Malibu Shores and Beverly Hills 90210. The rest of the 90s was a blur of credits such as Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Love Boat: The Next Wave, Mortal Kombat: Conquest, Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, Pacific Blue, Legacy and Any Day Now.

In 1999, he joined the cast of Charmed as Dan Gordon, Piper Halliwell’s love interest. His character was only in 18 episodes but still resonates with the cult following that watched the show. He tacked on more credits like Nash Bridges, Glory Days, Will and Grace, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and For Mature Audiences Only.

In 2002, Greg scored his first daytime role as Diego Guittierez on The Young and the Restless. When he wrapped up that storyline in 2003, he won the coveted role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. Vaughan portrayed the character for 6 years until the original Lucky, Jonathan Jackson, re-joined the cast.

More roles followed on 90210, The Closer, Borderline Murder, Love’s Christmas Journey, Sebastian and GCB, before Greg signed on to be the new Eric Brady on Days of Our Lives in 2012. A role he would play on and off until the present.
Other credits include Second Chances, Playdate, And Then There Was You, Extant, The Christmas Note, Lucifer, Valentine’s Again and A Very Country Christmas. In 2016, Greg was cast in the role of Calvin in Queen Sugar.

Greg currently resides in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time with his three sons, Jathan, Cavan and Landan. He is dating actress Angie Harmon.
