Darin Brooks — A Biography
Darin Lee Brooks was born and raised in Hawaii. His interest in acting began while attending high school and participating in the theater there. He is best known there for playing Rapunzel’s Prince in Into The Woods. He was discovered by casting director Kathy Henderson.
The aspiring thespian enrolled in acting classes, took up modeling, and got extra work before he headed to Los Angeles. He took acting classes at the renowned Ivana Chubbuck Studios, coincidently at the same time as his future wife, Kelly Kruger.
In 2005, Brooks scored the coveted role of Max Brady on Days of our Lives. Darin embraced the role for the next six years, earning a Daytime Emmy for playing the character in 2009. Before his stint was over, Brooks booked the character of Mr. Owens on Miss Behave and Alex Moran on Blue Mountain State, where he first met Kelly.
More projects quickly followed such as CSI: Miami, Castle, Bad Girls, The Seven Year Hitch, Liars All, Super Fun Night, and 2 Broke Girls. In 2013, he landed another daytime role as Wyatt Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful, where he crossed paths with Kruger once again.
Darin and Kelly Kruger married in 2016 and they have a daughter, Everleigh Jolie, born September 22, 2019. When he isn’t working, he enjoys playing multiple instruments, surfing, and hanging out with Kelly and friends.
