Carter Walton and Katie Logan have come into each other’s lives at just the right time on Bold and the Beautiful. Both deserve happiness and love, but, as this is a soap opera, they also need some conflict.

Viewers love to see their favorite couples on the front burner, but for Katie (Heather Tom) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) to start playing out more, they’re going to need some drama. Here are three ways in which that can happen.
Carter Logan: Father’s Daze
Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) left town after her engagement to Carter came to an abrupt end. What has Zoe been doing all this time while living in Paris as a model? Perhaps she left town and discovered she was pregnant? Carter has said he wants a family. If he were to find out he has a child with Zoe, Katie might feel conflicted.
B&B Katie’s Conflict
Speaking of Carter wanting children, how would he and Katie feel about the possibility that she might not be able to have children? Katie’s gone through two major surgeries related to organ donation — heart and kidney. Carter may not want her to risk going through another labor.

Carter Walton: The Return of Quinn Fuller
Carter fell hard for Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). He left Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) at the altar because he learned that Quinn was leaving Eric Forrester (John McCook). Curiously, Quinn left town without fighting for Carter and working out their issues. He’s not going to get over her overnight. Quinn’s return could turn Katie and Carter’s romance into a front-burner triangle.
