Entertainment News: The Verdict

A jury delivered a guilty verdict on two of five charges related to sexual assault against Harvey Weinstein. Journalist Ronan Farrow and other celebrities responded to the news, as did Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay (Capt. Olivia Benson).

Surprise Bachelor Ending
Rumors are running rampant about The Bachelor star Peter Weber finding love on the reality series, but not with one of the show’s contestants. Host Chris Harrison gave his take on the subject.

Memory Lane

On a trip back to ABC in New York City, Sarah Michelle Gellar reflected on the television role that launched her career: Kendall on All My Children. And she posted a few memorable photos from her time on the soap.

Taraji’s Tribute
Taraji P. Henson paid tribute to Katherine Johnson, the brilliant NASA mathematician who recently died at the age of 101. Henson, of course, portrayed Johnson in the 2016 film Hidden Figures.

Speaking of Henson, she also discussed her connection to Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious Lyon to her Cookie on Empire. Suffice it to say, it’s a strong one.

A Sad Loss

Fran Drescher, who’s back on TV screens in the new NBC comedy Indebted, recently had to cope with a sad loss. Her beloved pooch, Samson, passed away.
