Brytni Sarpy’s character Elena Dawson has been pretty busy on The Young and the Restless lately, but the actress is finding time to take part in another project — a new movie called The Prince of Detroit.

Brytni Sarpy Is Cast In A New Film

The film is based on the true story of Tony Fox, born into prosperity, as the son of America’s first Black HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) owners. Photos and videos of Sarpy on the set have popped up in the official Instagram feed for the movie and on its director’s, Damon Dash, with the first three days of filming apparently in the books.

“Along with their hospital and several other business ventures, Tony’s Mother (Sydney)and Step-father (Harlow) are deemed Detroit’s King and Queen, making Tony the Prince,” the film’s Instagram account explains. “When his parents are betrayed and conspired against, they’re left with nothing. A young Tony must, do away with his entitlement then use both his parents teachings and experiences to regain their fortune and restore his position as “The Prince of Detroit”

There’s no mention yet of who Brytni Sarpy will be playing or details about her role. A few weeks ago, the actress posted a story on CBS Watch magazine in which she talked about what it meant to be a woman and her journey in finding clarity in her life.

In Genoa City, Elena Dawson is enjoying some happier times as of late, moving on from her breakup with Devon Hamilton (real-life love, Bryton James) to find love with fellow doctor, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). The couple has been mixed up in the world of Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and are two of the few people who actually support the upcoming wedding of the pair. In fact, they’re traveling to Italy with them to be part of the ceremony!

Will that event of the season happen? And will Elena and Nate change their tune about Ashland? Time will tell. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
