Veteran fans of The Young and the Restless recall that Michael Baldwin, played by Christian LeBlanc, started out on the show as a real baddie. He made Cricket’s life a living hell for a while!
These days, Michael’s a good guy, but one villain who we don’t see being reformed on Y&R anytime soon is Ray Wise’s Ian Ward. The two actors met up recently at The 17th Annual Sketchfest in San Francisco.
LeBlanc is pals with former Y&R co-star Sean Carrigan (ex-Stitch), who regularly does stand-up comedy.
But what brought dastardly Ian Ward’s portrayer to the festival? There was a panel honoring Twin Peaks, the innovative early ’90s series by Mark Lynch and David Frost that was revived with new episodes in 2017 on Showtime.
Wise, who played Leland Palmer on the show, was invited to partake in the discussion that reunited much of the cast. But that wasn’t his only connection.
It turns out that Wise’s daughter, Kyna, performed with LeBlanc and Carrigan, which the actor mentioned when he responded to LeBlanc’s Instagram post below. Check out their exchange.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
Great Instagram photo of you @CJLeBlanc, me, and
my daughter Kyna. Your improv set with her and Sean
Carrigan was crazy fun! @SFSketchfest https://t.co/gwCsMzmq7r— Ray Wise (@therealraywise) January 15, 2018
