Y&R Spoilers Spec: Is Victor Responsible For Amanda’s Dad’s Death?

Y&R spoilers teased a mystery regarding who killed Amanda Sinclair’s biological father it was plugging along, introducing us to her long-lost biological mother, sister, and grandfather. And then, suddenly, Victor Newman popped up.

That’s not unusual in Genoa City. Victor (Eric Braeden) likes to have a hand in every storyline. But this was so out of the left-field, we’ve got to think there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Nice Guys Finish First

Victor tried to make it sound like he was just a Good Samaritan. When Richard came to him, despondent over not being able to track down his newborn daughter, Victor, out of the goodness of his heart, sent him to a private eye. He’s a giver. But that’s all he knows about any of it.

Pay No Attention To the Y&R Man Behind the Mirror

So, are we just supposed to forget that the only reason Amanda (Mishael Morgan) went to Victor in the first place was that Rick worked for Newman Enterprises, and she was pretty sure he was bribing Sutton Ames (Jack Langdon) for some favorable zoning decisions – on Newman Enterprises’s behalf? Whatever happened to that piece of evidence?

Y&R Spoilers Kill Or Be Killed

The Young and the Restless went out of their way to involve Victor in a storyline that, on paper, had nothing to do with him. So shouldn’t it, you know, have something to do with him?

If Victor ordered Richard to bribe Sutton, and the deal went south, isn’t it entirely possible that Victor then decided to fix the problem? Permanently? Oh, not the Victor of today. But the Victor of Amanda’s youth. The one who locked his wife’s lover in the basement. The one who stole John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) company and gave the man a heart attack. The man who was ruthless (like the title of his biography). The man who might have killed Amanda’s dad.
